What is the Telangana TSRTC Bus Pass

If you are a student and you are always working by transporting yourself from one place to another then you need a bus pass because that will help you to get transportation in a very cheap manner. TSRTC Bus Pass is especially available for students who are not able to continue their education due to the high cost of transportation that they have to overcome if they are taking the private transportation system available in Telangana state. You can apply for the bus pass if you are below the age of 12 years and you can also apply for the bus pass if you are a college-going student who wants to save a lot of money to use that money in various other aspects of your college education.

Student Free Bus Pass

Check out the eligibility criteria to get a free bus pass from the pointers given below and prepare yourself accordingly:-

• Students below 12 years Bus Pass:
• Eligible for below 12 years Students only.
  • Free transportation is offered from the residence to the school and back on all days besides public holidays.
  • Cities – up to 22 KMs in City Ordinary Buses.
  • Districts – up to 20 KMs in Pallevelugu Buses.
  • Validity period – for the Academic year.
  • Applicants can apply by visiting the bus pass counter.
• Eligible for female students upto Class 10 and Below 18 years only
  • Free transportation is offered from the residence to the school and back on all days besides public holidays.
  • Cities – up to 22 KMs in City Ordinary Buses.
  • Districts – upto 20 KMs in Pallevelugu Buses
  • Validity period – for the Academic year
  • Applicants can apply by visiting the bus pass counter.

Eligible for Students Above 12 

This bus pass is available at a discounted rate as shown in the table below for distances of up to 4 km, 8 km, 12 km, 18 km, and 22 km:-

Student General Bus Ticket

Only city Students are eligible Students whose age is above 12 years. Travel facility valid anywhere to anywhere within City/Sub-Urban limits. For monthly and quarterly passes, the validity periods are 1 month and 3 months, respectively. This Bus Pass can be issued with a concessional tariff as furnished in the below table:-

Student Greater Hyderabad Bus Pass (Monthly/Quarterly)

Eligible for Students whose age is above 12 years age. Travel services are valid from one location to another inside a city’s / sub-urban area and within a specific district along the route. For monthly and quarterly passes, the validity periods are 1 month and 3 months, respectively. This bus pass may be given at a discounted rate, as shown in the table below.

Districts – High School / College Student Bus Pass

Eligible for Students above 12 years of age. This bus pass is available at a discounted rate as shown in the table below for distances of up to 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, 20 km, 25 km, 30 km, and 35 km. 

TSRTC Bus Pass Application Procedure 2024

The applicant must follow the following application procedure to apply for the bus pass:-

• You have to visit the TSRTC website.

• The homepage of the website will open in front of you.
• On the homepage of the website, you have to click on the option to Apply Online from the section City General Commuter Pass.

• The next page will open in front of you.
• Here you will get the GENERAL BUS PASS APPLICATION FORM. 
• Enter the application details such as your name, father/husband’s name, date of birth, gender, age, aadhar number, mobile number, and e-mail id, apart from this you have to upload the photo.
• After this, you have to enter the address details, for example – the applicant’s address, district election, village election, Mandal election, and Pincode, etc
• Select CT in the section of pass type detail and select the pass type. 
• You have to choose the payment mode. Then the pass delivery mode has to be selected.
• Finally, you have to select the centre at which you want to collect the pass and click on submit option. In this way, you can apply for a City General Commuter Pass.

Print Application

If you want to print your application then you will have to follow the simple procedure given below:-

• You have to visit the official website of TSRTC Bus Pass by clicking on the link given here. 
• The homepage of the website will open in front of you.
• Click on the option of Print Application from the section of City General Commuter Pass. After this, the next page will open in front of you.

• Enter the details of all the information asked like – Registration ID, Date of Birth etc.
• After that you have to click on the submit option. 
• After that, a new page will be displayed in front of you.
• You will see the option to print the application on this page, you have clicked on that option. 
• The application will be printed.

Applying Under Pass for College Students

First Step

• You have to visit the official website of TSRTC Bus Pass. 

• The homepage of the website will open in front of you.
• On the homepage of the website, you have to click on the option of application from the section of District Pass. 
• After that, some options will appear in front of you. For example, pass for college students, pass for school students, general commuter pass etc.
• Out of these, you have to click on the option of your need, if you want to apply underpass for college students, then you have to click on the option to apply from that section.
• After this, two options will be displayed in front of you, first, apply for fresh registration and second – apply for a second pass.

Second Pass

• If you want to get the first pass, then you have to click on the option of fresh registration. After this, a photo will be displayed in front of you, on which you have to click on the option to apply.
• Now the application form will open in front of you on the next page.
• Enter the details of all the information asked like- SSC Board Type Selection, SSC Year of Pass, Date of Birth, SSC Regular / Supplementary Selection, SSC Hall Ticket Number etc.

Third Step

• Upload all the information of the student like – Name, Father/Guardian Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Age, Age On, Aadhar Number, Mobile Number, E-mail ID, Upload Photo etc. Now you have to choose Is Employed Children. 
• After making the election, you will have to enter all the information related to your address such as the election of the district, village, Mandal, your address, postal code, etc. Now you have to enter all the information of the Institution like- District Election, Institution Name, Admission Number, Mandal, Course Name, Institution Address etc.
• After this you have to select at which centre you want to collect the ID pass and also you have to select the pass type required, now you have to choose the payment mode.
• Choose the pass delivery mode, now you have to click on the submit option. In this way, you can apply for a pass for college students.
