Type of FSSAI Certificate

The FSSAI offers three different registration options. On the FoSCoS website, the FBOs must apply for the appropriate FSSAI registration. The FSSAI registers in the following types:

  1. FSSAI Basic Registration
  2. FSSAI State License
  3. FSSAI Central License

Basic Registration with FSSAI

Petty Food Business Owners (FBOs) with an annual turnover of less than Rs. 12 lakh and a daily production capacity of up to 100 liters/kg of food products must apply for an FSSAI Basic Registration certificate.

State License for FSSAI

Medium-sized FBOs must apply to the state government for an FSSAI State License certificate if their yearly turnover is more than Rs. 12 lakhs but less than Rs. 20 crores.

Central License for FSSAI

Large-scale FBOs must apply to the Central Government for an FSSAI Central License certificate if their yearly revenue surpasses Rs. 20 crores.

  • Step 2: Click “Sign-in” after entering your “Username,” “Password,” and “Captcha.”
  • Step 3: A screen display of your dashboard will occur. Select “Issued” from the menu.
  • Step 4: Select the “Issued-License” or “Issued-Registration Certificate” option based on whether you applied for an FSSAI license or registration.
  • Step 5: The information and your FSSAI certificate will appear on the screen. Click on your FSSAI certificate registration number under the “Reference no/Registration no” column of your certificate details.
  • Step 6: Click to open your FSSAI certificate. Select “Save” after clicking the download button or image on the page. You will receive a download for your FSSAI Registration/License certificate.
