The Government of Telangana has launched the Gruhalakshmi Scheme Telangana. Under the scheme financial assistance of Rs 2000 is provided to the women head of the house. Around 1.28 crore women in the state will be able to get the benefit of this scheme. This scheme has been launched to support women and improve their livelihood. With the implementation of this scheme, the housewife, landless woman, and agricultural women workers will be empowered. This scheme has been launched by Chief Minister of Telangana on 16th August 2023. The amount of financial assistance under the scheme will be directly credited into the bank account of the beneficiary women through the direct benefit transfer method. • Women Government employees will not be eligible to get benefits of this scheme
• Women taxpayers are not eligible to get the benefit of this scheme
• If the husband of a woman is paying Income tax or filing a GST return then the woman of that family will not get the benefit of this scheme
