Overview of Gunotsav 2024 Assam

Gunotsav 2024 Assam has been launched to improve the quality of School Education. The Government of Assam will focus on 4 areas under this scheme which are socialist, co-socialistic, infrastructure, and community participation. The schools will be graded based on A +, A, B, C, and D based on performances. With the help of this scheme learning gaps will be identified and appropriate remedial measures will be taken to overcome these caps. The fifth round under the scheme has been scheduled for January to February 2024 in 3 phases. The self and external evaluation will be done under the scheme with the implementation of the scheme. The quality of education will be improved which will help improve the literacy ratio in the state

The Government of Assam has made available the gunotsav guidelines online. All the beneficiaries will be able to download these guidelines as per year language preference. The link to download the guidelines is provided below:-

Important Instructions for Gunotsav Evaluation

• All the schools in Assam will be covered under the scheme
• The districts will be covered in three phases
• Schools of each district will be distributed for three days for external evaluation
• For classes 1st to 9th socialistic evaluation will be carried out
• They will be both self-evaluation and external evaluation
• Today’s period for each school for the evaluation has been determined
• On the first day the school will conduct a self-evaluation
• Schools will be provided grading according to their performance
• On the day of external evaluation, teachers will be interchange within the cluster
• The evolution will be based on OMR
• For classes first and second the OMR sheets will be filled by the teacher
• From class 3rd onwards the OMR sheet will be filled by the student
• Individual question papers will be provided to every student
