About Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana 2024

The Government of Madhya Pradesh has launched the Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana. Through this scheme, those citizens whose age is above 60 years will be provided free of cost pilgrimage. The beneficiary will also be provided with eatables and other services under this scheme. If the disability in the applicant is more than 60% then also he or she will be able to take benefit from this scheme. Under the Yojana pilgrimage spots like Amarnath, Shirdi, Ajmer, Ayodhya, etc will be covered. Now applicants are not required to depend on others for pilgrimage as the government of Madhya Pradesh will provide them free cost pilgrimage. This scheme is going to improve the standard of living of the beneficiaries. Other than that the beneficiaries will also become self-dependent

• Under Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana pilgrimage spots like Amarnath, Shirdi, Ajmer, Ayodhya, etc will be covered.
• Applicants must be permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh.
• The applicant’s age should be 60 years or above.
• If the applicant is a female then there is a relaxation of 2 years for her age.

• If both husband and wife want to undertake the pilgrimage, then one must be eligible. If one of the husband and wife is eligible and the other is not eligible, then both can go on a pilgrimage.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Passenger

• Applicants must be permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh.
• The applicant’s age should be 60 years or above.
• If the applicant is a female then there is a relaxation of 2 years for her age.
• Groups can also apply under the scheme.
• There can be only 25 people in a group.
• If both husband and wife want to undertake the pilgrimage, then it is mandatory for one to be eligible. If one of the husband and wife is eligible and the other is not eligible, then both can go on pilgrimage.
• If the citizen is more than 60% handicapped then there is no age restriction for him.
• All passengers should be physically and mentally fit. He or she should not be suffering from any of the following diseases:-
  • TB
  • congestive
  • cardiac
  • respiratory disease
  • coronary insufficiency
  • coronary thrombosis
  • mental illness
  • infection
  • leprosy etc.

Eligibility for Assistant

• If the age of the passenger is more than 65 years and he is single or the spouse of the passenger is more than 65 years or if the passenger is more than 60% handicapped then it is mandatory to have an assistant with him.
• One assistant can go in a group of 3 to 5 persons traveling in a group/batch.

• First, go to the concerned office of Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana
• Ask for the application form from there
• Fill all the required details in this application form
