About National Apprenticeship Training Scheme

The national apprenticeship training scheme is an initiative by which technically qualified youth is going to get practical knowledge and hands their skill requirement in their field of work. After completing a degree or diploma or ITI, students can apply for the apprenticeship offered by various government and private organizations. During the apprenticeship, students will also get a monthly Stipend. Moreover, students will also get a certificate of proficiency from the government of India. National Apprenticeship Training Scheme for Graduates of general streams

Good news for the nontechnical students as well. Ministry of Education, Government of India has decided to cover all the general graduate streams like b.com BA BSc and more under the national apprenticeship training scheme. Now the students of nontechnical streams will also get apprenticeship opportunities. The period of the training program may be a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 3 years. Now the students who hold general stream graduation degrees can also apply for apprenticeship training.

Benefits Of NATS

Eligibility Criteria

To apply under the National apprenticeship training scheme applicant must full fill the below-mentioned eligibility conditions

• Applicant must have attained the age of 16 years
• Applicant must have passed a degree or diploma in the respective fields
• Applicant must not be a government employee
• Applicants should not hold any experience in their field of work
• The applicant must be an Indian
• Applicants must not already get training under the government training program of skill development.

• Aadhaar card
• Valid Personal Email ID
• Mobile number (will be required to send/verify OTP)
• Passport size photograph Format: JPEG, Size: Less than 200kb
• Aadhaar seeded/mapped Bank account details
• Qualifying Degree / Provisional Certificate, Format: PDF, Size: Less than 1mb
• The first page of Bank passbook / Bank account statement, Format: PDF, Size: Less than 1MB

Registration Procedure with National Apprenticeship Training Scheme- A Student

• To register, you have to go to the NATS website of the NATS portal

• From the home page of the portal, you need to click on enroll option

• A new page will open on the computer screen, select A student option
• Now you need to select your state then select whether you complete your education, the year of completion, and the mode of completion 
• Now choose whether you have experience or prior take training under an apprenticeship program 
• Now document list will appear on the screen check whether you have all the documents or not as listed above
• Select I have the above data option and enter your email ID
• Press send OTP option and you will receive an email 
• Enter the OTP in the given space and a further application form will appear on the screen
• Fill out the complete application form with all the significant details
• Upload the significant documents as listed above
• Review the application form and press submit button
• Once your registration procedure has been done completely you will receive an email of successful registration.

Registration Procedure with NATS Portal- an Institution

• To register, you have to go to the official website of the NATS portal
• From the home page of the portal, you need to click on enroll option

• A new page will open on the computer screen, select An institution option
• As you click further application will open, and provide the information as asked 
• Check the list of documents required to complete the form
• Press I have the above data option and enter your mobile number
• Press send OTP option and you will receive an SMS
• Enter the OTP in the given space and a further application form will appear on the screen
• Fill the complete application form with all the significant details
• Upload the significant documents as listed above
• Review the application form and press submit button
• Once your registration procedure has been done completely you will receive a message of successful registration on the screen.

Register with NATS Portal- An establishment

• To register, you have to go to the official website of the NATS portal
• From the home page of the portal, you need to click on enroll option

• A new page will open on the computer screen, select An establishment option
• As you click further application will open, and provide the information asked 
• Check the list of documents required to complete the form
• Press I have the above data option and enter your mobile number
• Press send OTP option and you will receive an SMS
• Enter the OTP in the given space and a further application form will appear on the screen
• Fill the complete application form with all the significant details
• Upload the significant documents as listed above
• Review the application form and press submit button
• Once your registration procedure has been done completely you will receive a message of successful registration on the screen.

Login Process

• To log in with the portal, you have to go to the official website of the NATS portal
• From the home page of the portal, you need to click on the login option

• As you click login window will open on the screen
• Now you have to enter your email/ mobile number/ user id and password
• Enter the captcha code shown on the screen and hit login button
• As you click user dashboard will open on the screen

Procedure To View Announcements

• To view the latest announcements of apprenticeships, you have to go to the official website of the NATS portal

• From the home page of the portal, you need to click on more announcement option given under the announcement 
• A new page will open on the computer screen with all the announcements list
• You may check any specific announcement by clicking the link and the PDF file will open

Procedure To Apply For Apprenticeship

• To submit your application for any specific announcement first you have to go to the official website of the NATS portal
• From the home page of the portal, you need to read the announcement 
• First, enroll yourself by follow the above-given registration process and then login into the portal
• Now you have to go to the “establishment request” option
• Click on the “find establishment” option and search for the announcement you wish to apply for
• Choose the announcement from the list shown on the screen
• Select the “apply” option and again click apply button
• As you click you will see “Successfully applied for the training position. Based on availability, you will be contacted by the establishment” message on the screen
