What is Swayam Registration

The Swayam is an online portal created by the concerned authorities of the National Testing Agency to provide proper opportunities for all the residents of India so that they can continue their education from the comfort of their own houses. Swayam Registration was initiated by the government of India to provide proper opportunities to students who want to get a job in prestigious organizations in India. The best learning resources are available at the official portal to help all of the students belonging to the backward caste and community. The examination will be held for around 348 papers and all of the examinations will be in online mode or other examinations can also be conducted in hybrid mode. Courses Available

The courses are available for the following Institutions present in India through the portal:-

• AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) for self-paced and international courses
• NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) for Engineering
• UGC (University Grants Commission) for nontechnical post-graduation education
• CEC (Consortium for Educational Communication) for under-graduate education
• NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) for school education
• NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) for school education
• IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) for out-of-school students
• IIMB (Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore) for management studies
• NITTTR (National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research) for the Teacher Training program

Technical Requirements 

The applicant must follow the following technical requirements to be a part of this portal:-

• An active internet connection to avail of the online course content. Without the internet or with poor connectivity they will not be able to consume online content.
• The systems requirement includes-
  • A desktop or laptop with an internet connection and flash player installed in it.
  • Operating system- Mac iOS, Microsoft Windows, Android, Linux.
  • Port 1935 RTMP or Port 80 should be open
  • Browsers- Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari
• Students can also download the content. The respective faculty will provide download access.

Evaluation and Certification

The students will be evaluated and the certification will be provided based on the following terms and conditions:-

• Students who had enrolled for the course are eligible to appear for that course.
• Evaluation is the responsibility of the host Institute and Principal Invigilator (PI). 
• Evaluation is done based on the performance of the learners in the examinations, assignments, practicals, and credits earned during the course.
• After the conduct of the examination and completion of the evaluation process, Grades/ Marks are awarded to the learners as per the evaluation scheme. 
• The final marks/grade are communicated to the learners/students within 4 weeks from the date of completion of the final examination.
• Students who have secured at least 40% marks in the examination will successfully clear the examination and a certificate will be issued to such students by the Ministry of Education. But in the case of credit transfer, it will be transferred to the concerned institution.

Examination Fees

The applicant will have to submit the following examination fees:-

• For the general category 1000 rupees for a course 
• For the reserved category 500 rupees per course.

Swayam Registration Online Procedure 

To apply for the exam you will have to follow the simple procedure given below:-

• First, you have to visit the Swayam website of the portal by clicking on the link given here

• The homepage of the organization will open on your screen
• Now, click on the SIGN IN / REGISTER button in the top right corner.

• A new page will open on your screen
• Click the Sign Up Now link below the login form as given.
• The application form will open on your screen
• You have to fill up the application form and verify your ID through an email.
• Click on the Create Button for the final submission of the application.
• Your registration on the Swayam portal is complete and you can now log in and start learning.
• You can also easily access all of the courses.
