Overview of Amnesty Scheme

To enhance the revenue the Government of Maharashtra has launched the stamp duty Abhay Yojana or amnesty scheme. Under the scheme, the government will provide exemption on stamp duty and penalty for registration of deeds which are executed between 1982 to 2020. The government is going to implement this scheme in two phases from December 1 to 2023 to January 31 2024 and from February 1 2024 to March 31 2024. All those deeds that are executed from 1982 to 2020 but not filed or registered the entire stamp duty and penalty payable to the revenue department will be exempted under this scheme. With the implementation of this scheme, beneficiaries will be able to register their property
