Objective Of Chiranjeevi Yojana
A budget of rupees 3500 crores has been set up by the Rajasthan government to develop this Mukhya Mantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana and the Chief Minister has already announced the budget for the development of the scheme on 24th February 2021. The residents will be provided with a heavy medical allowance in order to get relief from their medical expenses. Medical facilities will be provided to all of the contractual workers and small and martial farmers free of cost through the development of this scheme. The Chief Minister’s health insurance Scheme includes free treatment 5 days before hospitalization and 15 days after discharge from the hospitals. Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scheme:-
- The applicant can apply for the scheme by registering themselves through the online procedure.
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Rajasthan state.
- There are two categories that can take benefit from this scheme as-
- Category receiving free benefits: – 100% of the premium of eligible families of such category as determined by the state government is paid by the government. Currently eligible families under the Food Security Act, eligible families of Socio-Economic Census (SECC) 2011, contractual personnel working in state government departments/boards/corporations/government companies, small marginal farmers and receiving the ex-gratia amount for Covid-19 last year. The destitute and helpless families are included in the free category.
- Category receiving benefits by paying Rs 850/- per family per year: – Those families of the state who do not come under the category of free eligible families and are not government employees/pensioners and are not taking benefits under Medical Attendance Rules can take advantage of the scheme by paying 50% of the fixed premium i.e. Rs.850 per family per year. The remaining 50 per cent of the premium will be borne by the government.
