What is the Delhi Odd-Even Scheme?
The Delhi Odd-Even Scheme was implemented in 2016 by the Aam Janta Party to control the Air pollution caused in Delhi. Now in 2023, this scheme is started again by the Government of Delhi from 13th November 2023 to 20th November 2023. This Odd Even Scheme permits the vehicles to run on simultaneous dates. If a vehicle contains a number plate that ends with numbers like 1,3,5,7,9 then these vehicles will run on Odd days. A vehicle that contains the following numbers: 2,4,6,8 they will run on even dates. By arranging such a pattern less number of vehicles will be on the road which will create less air pollution. The implementation of Odd Even Scheme was done on Monday, this scheme may extend from 20th November after considering the situation of the city.

The main aim of Delhi Odd Even Exemption Vehicle is to permit the Exemption Vehicles to run on a daily basis on the road because the Exemption vehicles are: Ambulance, Fire fighting vehicles, first response, Electric vehicles, and VVIP Vehicles. The reason for permitting such vehicles is that they are used to help the public in emergency conditions. Electric vehicles are used by electric charge.
