About Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme
The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh has launched the Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deewana scheme. Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to students hailing from poor social and economic backgrounds for their total fees. All those students who are pursuing ITI, polytechnic, b.tech, MBA, MCA, pharmacy, and other courses from foreign universities will be eligible to get the benefit of this scheme. The government will deposit the financial assistance into the account of the beneficiary mother every three months. To get the benefit of this scheme students must attend 75% of the classes. This scheme was launched on 27th November 2019. Around 11 lakh students have benefited from the implementation of this scheme. With the implementation of the scheme, students will be motivated to pursue higher education

- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh
- The applicant should belong to an economically weaker section of society
- The student must have maintained at least 75% of attendance
- The maximum age should not exceed 35 years as of the date of publication of the notification
- The family income should not exceed Rs 8 lakh per annum
- Only one candidate for the family will be eligible
- A student who has a will financial assistance under other similar schemes from the state or government of India is not eligible under the scheme
