Ladakh State Marriage Assistance Scheme 2024: Benefits and Eligibility

Ladakh State Marriage Assistance Scheme 2024 was launched by the Department of Social and Tribal Welfare, Ladakh. Under the Ladakh state marriage assistance scheme the beneficiaries will get INR 50,000. The financial assistance will be given to the female citizens of Ladakh. Only the females who belong to the Antodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) or PHH (Priority Household) are eligible to apply for the Scheme 2024. The scheme will come into power from 1st January 2024. The financial assistance from the scheme will be transferred to the Aadhar-linked bank account of the applicant. The applicants can submit the application form to respective authorities to avail the benefits of scheme 2024

Overview of Ladakh State Marriage Assistance Scheme

To help financially unistable citizens the Department of Social and Tribal Welfare, Ladakh Launched the Ladakh State Marriage Assistance Scheme. Under this Scheme, the beneficiaries will get INR 50,000 so that they can their marriage. Not only this all the applicants who have cleared the benchmark for disability will get INR 1 lakh. All the applicants who clear the eligibility criteria can avail the benefits of this scheme. Under the state marriage assistance scheme the applicants will get one-time financial assistance of INR  50,000 will be given to female beneficiaries belonging to Antodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) or PHH (Priority Household) ration cardholder families.

The objective of Ladakh State Marriage Assistance Scheme

The main objective of launching the Ladakh State Marriage Assistant scheme is to provide financial assistance to adults so that they can get married. This financial assistance will help the adults to remove the burden of marriage. The financial assistance from the scheme will be transferred directly to the applicant’s bank account. All the applicants who clear the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form to avail the benefits of this scheme. The selected candidates will get financial assistance of INR 50,000. If the applicant clears the ‘The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, he will get INR 1 lakh from the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

• The bride should be above the age of 18 years to be eligible for this scheme.
• The groom should be above the age of 21 years or above to be eligible for this scheme
• The applicant must be a permanent citizen of Ladakh.
• The applicant must have an Aadhar link savings bank account in any bank.

How to Fill State Marriage Assistance Scheme Application Form

• Proof of age of prospective beneficiary & prospective groom.
• AAY/PHH Ration card in which Applicant’s or her Father/Husband’s (in case of widow) name is mentioned.
• Resident Certificate
• ln absence of document at Sr. No. 2/3, Certificate issued by SM/Tehsildar
• Aadhar Card of the applicant & prospective groom.
