Kerela Young Innovators Programme
The objective of the Kerela Young Innovators programme is to create a network that will help detect young people with outstanding minds who can solve problems in the real world. Mentor them, and connect them to research institutions or partner institutions where they can receive a one-year scholarship. And assist them in developing a career around innovations through research, re-discovery, and development. To promote innovations with strong operations and innovations with social relevance, K-DISC has launched an IT-based support system. This system will identify promising ideas and guide them through the process of innovation with the help of appropriate connections with academics and development.

What is YIP 6.0 Idea Submission?
With a creative challenge, the Young Innovator Programme 6.0 aims to help innovators to create new goods, services, or models. That will more effectively address hidden needs, market demands, and developing societal needs. Students in Kerala who are studying above class 8 are eligible for the YIP program. This applies to students in schools, ITIs, and colleges. You can therefore apply for the YIP program if your institution fits within the above-mentioned group. As well as the age range of 12 to 35. Teams of two to five students each register for the YIP, which is cooperative. The YIP 6.0 Idea Submission will evolve the ideology of the students.

Eligibility Criteria
- The institution needs to be registered and approved by the Keralan and Indian governments.
- To register for the program, the heads, directors, and principals of these institutions must give their approval.
- For the period of YIP 2019, the institution must designate a minimum of TWO teachers or faculty members as facilitators.
- The YIP program may accept mentor nominations from institutions.
- The institution needs to be able to recognize, assist, and guarantee the involvement of a minimum of a few pupils.
