YSR Aarogyasri 2.0 Scheme 2024 Launched with ₹25 lakh Coverage

The government of Andhra Pradesh first launched a scheme in 2017 known as the YSR Aarogyasri Health Card Scheme. On Monday, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy introduced the enhanced YSR Aarogyasri 2.0 Scheme, which will allow beneficiaries to receive free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh. Dr YSR Aarogyasri 2.0 launched

The upgraded YSR Aarogyasri 2.0 scheme, which was introduced by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, will cover medical expenses up to ₹25 lakh for anyone with an annual income of up to ₹5 lakh. Additionally, he started the new YSR Aarogyasri card distribution. The qualifying requirements were also modified to allow participants in the scheme to receive rewards up to Rs 5 lakh annually.  Considering the project’s revolutionary, Jagan stated that the policy would cover 4.25 crore individuals from 1.48 crore families. • The applicant’s total land area, including both dry and wet property, cannot be less than 35 acres.
• Families that pay municipal property taxes for less than 3000 SFT (334 sq. yds.) must be the applicant’s requirement.
• Additionally qualified are contract, part-time, outsourcing, and sanitation workers earning more than Rs 5 lakh annually.
• Additionally, applicants may be private sector workers in the public sector or honorary compensation employees.
• The applicant is not eligible for the plan if they own more than one car.
• Families up to Rs 5 lakh in income tax filing status are also qualified.

Implementation Process

• The Chief Minister declared that the YSR Aarogyasri Scheme’s second phase will start on January 1.
• According to him, 4,56,018 diagnostic tests and 60,27,843 examinations were performed during the program’s initial phase.
• Senior authorities in attendance included Chief Secretary Dr. KS Jawahar Reddy, Special CS (medical and health) MT Krishna Babu, and Health Minister Vidadala Rajini.
