The Ahmedabad authorities launched the application form for the EWS housing scheme. All the permanent residents of Ahmedabad who want to get a permanent house at a lower price than the market can avail the benefits of the EWS housing scheme. Citizens of Ahmedabad who belong to SC, ST, OBC or EWS category are eligible to avail the benefits of the EWS housing scheme 2024. A total of 1055 houses are available under the EWS housing scheme in Ahmedabad for all the citizens who belong to the economically weaker section of the society. The applicants must fill out the application form on the official website to avail the benefits of this scheme.

To help the financially unstable citizens of Ahmedabad who do not have a permanent house the Ahmedabad Authority launched the EWS Housing Scheme 2024. Only the citizens of Ahmedabad who belong to the SC ST OBC or EWS category will avail of the benefits of the EWS housing scheme 2024. All the applicants who clear the eligibility criteria must fill out the application form before the last date 13th May 2024. With the help of this scheme, the applicants did not have to live in rented houses and could buy their own permanent houses. This scheme will apply to the social status and standard of living of the citizens to belong to the EWS category

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Ahmedabad.
• The applicant must belong to the SC, ST, OBC or EWS category.
• The applicant must be a disabled person.
• The applicant must be related to Defence.

Scheme Details and Conditions

• Along with the application form the applicant has to pay the amount of INR 7500.
• 20% of the total cost of the house must be paid by the applicant within 3 months after success in the “draw” when notified by the Municipal Corporation.
• The applicant will get the position of the house allotted to him only after the full payment of the documentary process.
• The annual income of the applicant’s family must not exceed INR 3 lakh for this scheme whenever the family is mentioned. Their family means himself, his wife/husband, and his unmarried children. An adult family member who does not own a fixed house or plot of land in India is entitled to housing under the PMAY scheme irrespective of his marital status.
• The applicant must upload a passport-size photo along with the application.
• Reservations are allocated as follows for allotment of houses for reserved category as per exchanges.
• When the municipal corporation is called the category certificate has to be presented in its original form.
