The central government of India launched the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) 2024. To promote electric mobility in India the central government of India announces the launch of the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) 2024. Under this Scheme (EMPS) 2024, the central government of India will provide financial assistance to citizens who want to buy two-wheeler or three-wheeler electric vehicles. The main aim of launching this scheme is to increase and promote the use of electric vehicles for daily transportation in India. For the implementation of this scheme, the central government has set aside a budget of INR 500 crore.

E-Mobility Promotion Scheme Launched

To encourage electric transportation among the citizens of India the Government of India launched the E-Mobility Promotion Scheme. The central government aims to provide support for about 3.3 lakh two-wheelers. Under the scheme, financial support of INR 10,000 per two-wheeler will be provided. On the purchase of a small three-wheeler electric vehicle, the government will provide financial support of INR 25,000. The central government of India will provide financial support of INR 50,000 for the purchase of a large three-wheeler electric vehicle. To avail of the financial assistance under the scheme the applicant must fill out the the application form on the official website.
