Odisha Mamata Scheme 2024: How to Get Benefits of ₹10000 Benefits

Odisha Mamata Scheme 2024 was launched by the Odisha state government. To help the financially unstable pregnant women in the Odisha state the Odisha state government launched the Odisha Mamata scheme. With the help of this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance to financially unstable pregnant women to get quality healthcare facilities without worrying about financial troubles.  This scheme will reduce malnutrition and mortality rates for newborns and lactating mothers in Odisha state. The Government of Odisha state has now increased the financial assistance under the scheme. The new financial assistance for the scheme is INR 10,000.

Overview of the Odisha Mamata Scheme

To help all the financially unstable pregnant women in the Odisha state the Odisha state government launched the Odisha Mamata scheme. Under the Mamata Yojana, the amount of assistance will be directly disbursed to the beneficiary’s bank account in 2 instalments. In the first instalment after 6 months of pregnancy, Rs. 6,000 and in the second instalment after ten months, Rs. 4,000 will be provided. With the help of financial assistance, the applicants can get proper Healthcare facilities without worrying about financial troubles. Only the applicants who are above the age of 19 years are eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme.

The objective of the Odisha Mamata Scheme

The main objective of launching the Odisha Mamata scheme is to provide financial assistance to the financially unstable pregnant and lactating mothers in the Odisha state. To help the applicants further the Odisha state government has increased the financial assistance under the scheme. The previous financial assistance under the Odisha Mamatha scheme was INR 5000 but the state government has increased the financial assistance to INR 10,000. The applicants will get the financial assistance in 2 instalments. All the applicants required the eligibility criteria must fill out the application form on the official website.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant should be a permanent resident of Odisha.
• The age of the applicant should be 19 years or above.
• Applicants must register at the Anganwadi Centre.
• Only pregnant or lactating women can benefit from this scheme.
• The benefit of this scheme can be available only for the first two live births.
• Government / public sector undertaking employees and their wives cannot take benefit of this scheme.

Selection Process

• The applicants will be selected based on their clearance of eligibility criteria.
• Only the permanent residents of Odisha state will be selected for the Mamata scheme.
• The applicant must be above the age of 19 years to be selected for the Mamata Scheme 2024.
• Only the applicants who are pregnant or lactating women will be selected for this scheme.
• If the applicant is the wife of any government official in Odisha state she will not be selected for this scheme.
