Objective Of Viklang Pension Yojana

The motive of the government behind starting this program is to make the physically handicapped people self-reliant. To do so, the government provides an amount to the beneficiaries on a monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly basis. This scheme will encourage people to become independent.

Benefits/ Features Of Viklang Pension Yojana

• This scheme has been started by the central government of India
• Central Government and state governments provide contributions to this scheme for smooth operations.
• The contribution of the central government of India is Rs. 200 per month per Beneficiary.
• The minimum contribution of the state government should be Rs. 400 and a maximum of Rs. 500 per month 
• The pension amount may vary from state to state.
• The pension amount is directly deposited into the bank account of the beneficiaries
• This scheme will make people self-reliant
• The amount will transfer to the beneficiary’s account through a direct benefit transfer system.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant should be a permanent resident of the state where he/ she is living.
• The age of the applicant should be in between 18 to 59 years
• Applicant must be suffering from a minimum of 40% of disability
• Applicants must belong to the Below poverty line category
• Applicant must not receive benefits of any pension scheme.
