Overview of Pravasandhra Bharosa Bima Scheme

Pravasandhra Bharosa Bima Scheme has been launched to provide Health insurance facilities to the nonresident citizens of the state. Under the scheme beneficiaries will be eligible to get Rs 10 lakh financial assistance in case of accidental death or permanent disability, medical expenses for injuries or sickness of up to Rs 1 lakh, and maternity expenses up to Rs 50000. All those persons who are nonresident Telugu will be able to benefit from this scheme. The beneficiary will be able to avail benefits of this scheme by paying a 50% premium subsidy. The Government of Telangana will contribute to the rest of the 50% amount. Beneficiaries will be able to enrol under the scheme from 26 December 2023 to 15th January 2024

• The main objective of the Pravasandhra Bharosa Bima Scheme is to provide facility of health insurance to the non-resident citizens of the state

Benefits of the Scheme

• Pravasandhra Bharosa Bima Scheme has been launched by the government of Andhra Pradesh
• Under the scheme, Health insurance facilities will be offered to the non-residents of the state
• All those citizens of the state who are living in some other state due to education or job will be able to avail benefit of this scheme
• The government will provide financial assistance in case of accidental death or permanent disability of Rs 10 lakh
• Other than that in case of injuries or sickness financial assistance of up to Rs 100000 will be provided
• For maternity expenses, the government will provide Rs 50000
• To get the benefit of this scheme beneficiaries to provide a premium

Premium Details

• Beneficiaries are required to pay a premium of Rs 275 with coverage for 3 years
• The actual amount of premium is rupees 550 for three years
• The Government of Andhra Pradesh will be 50% of the premium for the citizens
• Students will be able to get the benefit of this scheme without paying any kind of premium
