CM Revanth Reddy Redirects to Release Amount under Rythu Bandhu

To provide financial assistance to the farmers the Government of Telangana implements the Rythu Bandhu Scheme. The Chief Minister of Telangana has directed the officials to transfer the Rythu Bandhu assistance for the Rabi season into the bank account of the farmers starting from 11th December 2023. Under the scheme, the government provides Rs 7500 per acre per season. Over 70 lakh farmers will receive the benefit of this scheme in phases. The payment under this scheme was announced in November 2023 but it was stalled at the last minute by the Election Commission of India. With the implementation of the scheme, the financial condition of the beneficiaries will be improved. Other than that the farmers will also become dependent

Disbursements under Rythu Bandhu were frozen due to the Model Code of Conduct

Due to the model code of conduct, the election commission has previously withdrawn the permission regarding the disbursement of financial assistance to the farmers under the Rythu Bandhu Status. Now the model code of conduct has been uplifted and the beneficiary farmers will be able to receive the benefit of this scheme. All those farmers who are eligible to receive benefits of the scheme will get financial assistance in phases starting from 11 December 2023. The ECI has restricted the Government of Telangana to not to give any disbursement under this scheme till the model of code of conduct in the state. The election in the state was held on 30th November 2023 and the counting of votes took place on 3rd December 2023
