UNNATI Scheme for Northeast Industrial Development 2024

The Union Cabinet of India approved the Unnati scheme for Northeast India. To increase industrial growth and employment opportunities for all the citizens of North East India the Union Cabinet of India approved the launch of the UNNATI Scheme for North East India. The main aim of launching this scheme is to increase industrial development in the North East part of India. By providing employment opportunities to the unemployed citizens of the Northeast part of India the Government of India will increase the socio-economic health of the northeast part of India. The scheme will be effective from the date of notification and up to March 31, 2034, along with eight years of committed liabilities.

Overview of the UNNATI Scheme

To generate employment opportunities and increase the overall socio-economic development in the North East region of India the Government of India approved the UNNATI Scheme. The proposed scheme aims to receive approximately 2,180 applications, generating around 83,000 direct employment opportunities during the scheme period, with a significant number of indirect employment opportunities expected. With the help of this scheme, the Government of India will decrease the unemployment rate among the citizens of India significantly. For the implementation of this Scheme, the Union Cabinet of India approved the budget of INR 10,037 crores.
